Live Cut recording concert

Live Cut is the name of the Creative Napier concert that brought you eight of the region's top musical acts to the stage. The idea of the concert evolved from Creative Napier having to take steps, like many community organisations, to generate some of its own income so that it can continue to provide the current level of its services to artists and the public.

And why the title "Live Cut"? Well, the concert’s live of course, but the other aspect of this is that it will be recorded and a selection of tracks released on CD. This CD will serve both as a souvenir of the event and as a "Hawke’s Bay music sampler" that Creative Napier, in return for the musicians’ support, can market to music and other arts contacts around New Zealand. The recording concert was held in late August 2007 and the CD was launched in early February 2008. To find our where to purchase the CD and more about the concert do click on the links below.

We are currently in the process of reviewing the concert and will shortly be making a decision as to when the next concert will be held. In the meantime, if you are a band who would like to considered for inclusion on the next CD, please contact the Creative Napier office.
